Untie the things that were tied up

Title/ Untie the things that were tied up

Word/ John 11:32-44

As Jesus said in the text when I was in trouble, when I was having a hard time,

"You are troubled in spirit (grieving and dissatisfied), and grieving (depressed and sad, worried) here...Where did you put him?

Solve the problem and set yourself free from the problem.

The Lord's Concern - "Where Have You Put Him?"

Jesus solved the problem of Lazarus' death, which had been four days since he died (not even by human strength or power).

The body smells of dead rot, but "Lazarus, come out."

The word of the Lord awakened his spirit, and the body from which his limbs were bound came to life.

Those who hear the voice of the Lord will live,

The truth will set you free.

Let me loose all my bonds and set me free!

1, you have to let go of your thoughts. verse 44

"Let him go and let him go"

“It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63).

If you listen to the Lord's voice in spirit, not flesh - thoughts that were dead and things you thought you could not do will come to life.

“Did I not say that if you believe you will see the glory of God?” Verse 40

You seem to have faith, but when you actually encounter a problem, you lose your confidence in the face of it and fall helplessly.

(2 Corinthians 10:4-5) "Every theory, every thought that is steadfast in the sight of God, and that is exalted against the knowledge of God, taking into captivity, but bringing it into obedience to Christ."

In the fleshly mind, Lazarus cannot come to life and wander around.

I pray that you will have faith that goes beyond your thoughts. (Ephesians 3:20) Read

2. Free yourself from critical and negative comments. Verse 39

“Sister Martha, lord, has been dead for four days, and I can smell it already.”

It's been four days since he's been dead and he smells, so why bother?

Of course, it could be impossible if I did.

But, “Jesus said, ‘Take the stone away,’ so I believed that he would do it.

Obedience makes history He and He lives.

(Numbers 14:26-28) "As you have heard in my ears, I will do to you."

3. We must be freed from things seen with our eyes (verse 41).

"Jesus lifted up his eyes and looked up and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me."

I believe that you will save me, thank you in advance,

“I knew that you always listen to me.”

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for” (Hebrews 11:1).

Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be done for you (Mark 11:24).

I pray that you will be freed from fears such as death with faith that transcends reality.

Text / John 11:1-11 Title / For the body to die and the spirit to live

Although Lazarus was loved by the Lord, he fell ill.

“Look, the one you love is sick” (verse 3).

When the sisters of Lazarus said to Jesus, "Look", if you love them, /there will be no sickness/no pain/no death/can this be? And it will contain the meaning of resentment.

Let's hear the word of the Lord. He answered, “This sickness is not a disease to die, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it” (verse 4).

Anyone who hears the voice of the Lord will live.

1. We must acknowledge the sovereignty of God. verse 4

“This disease is not a disease to die, but for the glory of God.”

Those who are loved by the Lord In other words, all kinds of suffering, including diseases, may or do come to the saints.

(Job 5:7) "Life is "born for suffering"

Suffering follows people from birth.

School, marriage, work, business, and even death. If you live on the earth unaware of suffering, you cannot say that you are living a true life.

In particular, the reason why suffering is beneficial for believers is the fact that they seek the Lord.

(Verse 3) “Lazarus’ sisters also had problems, so they sent someone.”

God wants the saints to be with them even through suffering.

(Psalm 46:1) "God is my refuge and strength, a great help in trouble."

Moses also sought God in the face of death (Exodus 15:25).

Hezekiah too/ He sought God in the face of death. (2 Kings 20:1-3)

Jesus, your beloved is sick. You must kneel before the "sovereignty of God."

(Hebrews 9:27) “It is appointed to die once, and after that comes judgment.”

If death is inevitable for us, it is not a matter of how not to die, but how to die well.

2. We must wait for God's time. verse 6

“When he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed two more days where he was.”

He said that his loved one was ill. He had to go to Bethany as soon as possible to comfort Martha and Mary, but he stayed two more days.

On the side of those who have encountered a problem, even if they urgently cry out, there is God's time and the Lord's "time".

Are we not waiting for the time today only for our greed and profit?

(John 2:4) "Woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come."

The time of Jesus was not connected with anything of his own, but only with the death and resurrection of the cross that accomplishes God's will.

(John 7:30) "They wanted to seize Jesus, but no one touched him, for his hour had not yet come."

(John 8:20) "He spoke these words before the treasury while he was teaching in the temple, but no one took hold of them, for his hour had not yet come."

(John 12:23) "The hour has come when the Son of Man will be glorified"

(John 13:1) “He knew that the hour had come, and he loved his own who were in the world, but he loved them to the end.”

(John 16:32) The hour is coming when I will be left alone, and it has already come."

(John 17:1) "Father, the hour has come; glorify the Son, that he may glorify thee." (John 17:1)

When Jesus was on this earth, He lived only according to God's time schedule.

Look at verse 16: "Thomas, called Didymus, said to the other disciples, "Let us also go, that we may die with the Lord."

Our /young days/good times/ should be used wisely, wisely and in accordance with the will of God.

In times of danger and in difficult times, we have to think of God's time and live our lives.

3. We must hear the voice of the Lord by faith (verses 43-44).

“With a loud voice he called Lazarus to come out.”

Lazarus, who had been dead for four days when he heard the voice of the Lord, even smelled (verse 39).

He came out with the body.

1) Come out of the bottle (Matthew 8:1-4), "I want you, be cleansed."

2) A demon that was working in a person's body came out (Luke 4:35), "Come out of that person"

3) Those of the world come to the Lord (John 6:63)" The words I have spoken to you are spirit.

If you do not listen to the Lord's voice with your flesh, but with your spirit, your spirit will lead the flesh and come out of the power of death.

(John 8:47) "He who is of God hears the word of God, and you do not hear, because you are not of God."

(John 8:51) "Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."

“It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”

Let us not listen to the voice of the Lord with the flesh, but with the spirit.

Even today, the devil goes around trying to hear his voice in your ears.

The Bible says that he came "to steal/kill the people of God with his own? The Lord came to save sinners and be with them, only to destroy them" (John 10:10).

1: Let's acknowledge God's sovereignty.

2. Let's wait for God's time.

3. Let's hear the Lord's voice by faith.
