What was thrown away and what was gained
It says that we believe in Jesus. But what does it really mean to believe in Jesus?
This is very difficult to describe in one word. If someone asks you, "You say you believe in Jesus, what does it mean to believe in Jesus?" How would you answer if asked?
Evangelism simply defines this. “To believe in Jesus is to confess Jesus Christ as my Savior” Yes!! Jesus is my King, my Lord, my center, and my purpose. For such a person, Jesus can never be the means. Strictly speaking, there are many people who go to church but are not yet Christians. For them, Christ is the means, not the end. Through Jesus, you can get a job, earn money, and receive blessings... That's right, of course. The person who is ahead of him is the one who lives by means. This is called ups and downs faith, micro faith.
So, what is true faith? Christ is the end, the Lord, and the central faith. In sociological theory, it is "Christ-centered value orientation, that is, a change in values." Christ is the center, the Alpha and the Omega. Because of Jesus, the person inside me is changed and my values are completely changed. Life before and after believing in Jesus is different. Before I believed, these things were precious, but now those things are precious. As a Christian, we must not forget that a change in our values must come from the root. The feeling of "I have a precious person" is truly precious. It is irreplaceable (Hymns, no. 102).
Conversely, the poorest person looks bad in everything he has and good in everyone else's.
It means losing yourself and giving up on yourself. Depending on how cleanly you have thrown away, you can move forward that much. If you don't throw it away, there can be no progress. Losing and giving up are different. It is a self-emptying mind. Giving yourself up to get something better. You must know this secret.
Paul said he learned all the secrets from this. In 1 Corinthians 2:1, “I have determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” are doing This is where the great business card of being a Christian comes in.
