Work hard at your job title

Example) The dedication of John Wannamaker (the king of department stores)
The text is the scene of Jesus making disciples.
It is also a part that tells who is being used.
First, people who work hard in their assigned positions are used.
Verse 16: “As they were passing by the Sea of Galilee, they saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting their nets into the sea, and they were fishermen.”
Verse 19, “As they were going a little further, they saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were also in the boat, and they were casting their nets.”
The four men chosen by Jesus had in common that they were working.
The Bible equates laziness with evil.
In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, the Lord expresses to the servant who brought one talent as it is, “You wicked and lazy servant!”
Proverbs 18:9 "He who neglects his work is a brother to him who
Proverbs 19:15 “Idleness puts a man into a deep sleep, and the indolent one will hunger.”
1 Timothy 5:13 “And they learn to be lazy and go from house to house, and not only are they sluggish, but they talk in vain, making things, saying things they shouldn't.”
2 Thessalonians 3:10 “Even while we were with you, we commanded you, If anyone hates to work, let him not eat.
How is it?
It is said that the lazy person does not only perish alone, but also harms the community.
Example) Japan Computing Story (How to Recruit Talent)
The preface reads, “If you don’t want to work, stop! Work when you are in a recession and lamenting about it!”
It is said that even a third-class life becomes a first-class life once you get a job at this company.
This is because the employees who have passed through a unique talent recruitment method are those who have passion and confidence in their work, although they do not have any outstanding academic background or environment.
A hallmark of hard-working people is immediate action, obedience.
Verse 18 says, “Immediately they left their nets and followed.”
Verse 20, “As soon as he was called, he left his father Zebedee and the men in the boat and followed Jesus.”
ex) the devil's meeting
“Let us all go into the world and tell people that there is a God. Let's say the Bible is the Word of God, and that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior. And let's say that Jesus is the only savior. But let's say there's no need to rush, since there's plenty of time left to be saved."
Example) The sinking of the Central America
People have a habit of procrastination.
But we don't have a sure tomorrow.
Now is my only time.
To put it off until tomorrow is to give in to the devil's sweet temptations.
No one can confidently say that tomorrow is my time.
Only God who has given time can guarantee tomorrow.
Now is your chance.
The second is a person who has the potential to change.
Example) Comparison between a Pharisee and a disciple (fisherman) - Acceptance of change
Ex) Bill Gates' "speed of thought" - Change is important. But the speed of change is even more important.
Third, you need an all-seeing eye.
Verse 14: “After John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee and preached the gospel of God.”
Jesus' ministry began when John the Baptist was arrested.
Then why didn't Jesus do a lifesaving campaign for John the Baptist? Sometimes I think.
In a way, it might seem that the path of Jesus' ministry was opened because of John the Baptist.
So we need eyes that see the whole, not just the parts.
John the Baptist's mission is to prepare the way for Jesus.
And he accomplished that mission well.
In the eyes of people, it is failure and frustration, but in the eyes of God, it is success.
Ex) Butler Stephen
Organize your words.
Work hard in your hometown.
Dedicate yourself to the work of God diligently.
And be loyal.
George Whifield put it this way:
“I would rather wear out than rust.”
I hope that the church will stand strong through the dedication of the Women's Church.
And I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become members of the Women's Mission, workers of faith who can see the entire forest, not just a small boat that only sees the trees.
